Eric Paltell has practiced law since 1987, concentrating in the representation of private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Prior to joining Kollman & Saucier as a partner in 2002, Mr. Paltell was a partner with one of the world's largest law firms, Piper Rudnick (now known as DLA Piper). Mr. Paltell's practice includes the defense of employment discrimination and sexual harassment suits, ADA and FMLA litigation, wrongful discharge suits, wage and hour cases, ERISA litigation, NLRB proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, and grievance arbitrations. Additionally, a significant part of Mr. Paltell's practice involves management training and counseling.
Each year since 2003, Mr. Paltell has been listed as one of the top labor attorneys in Maryland in the Chambers USA publication, "America's Leading Business Lawyers." Mr. Paltell has been listed by Baltimore Magazine as one of Maryland's "Super Lawyers" since 2007, and was one of the survey’s Top 100 Maryland Lawyers in 2012. In 2008, Mr. Paltell achieved a rating of 9.5 out of a possible 10 in the 2008 Avvo.com’s Maryland attorney ratings – the highest score of any Maryland attorney whose practice is devoted exclusively to employment law. Additionally, Mr. Paltell has obtained an “AV" peer review rating from Lexis-Nexis/Martindale Hubbell.
