About Bernadette

Bernadette M. Hunton is an associate attorney of the Firm. She is a lifelong Maryland resident from the Annapolis area. She moved to Baltimore to attend Towson University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Education. Her first “real” job was teaching Middle School English for Baltimore County Public Schools. She is thankful to her former teenaged students for the valuable experience gained in crises management. Bernadette M. Hunton

Ms. Hunton returned to the other side of the classroom in 2008 to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school, she served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Timothy E. Meredith on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland, and a legal research and writing teaching assistant to Professors J. Amy Dillard and David Jaros. As a participant on UB’s Labor Law Moot Court Team, she discovered a passion for employment law, and pursued this interest by working as a clerk at the Firm. Prior to graduation, she was awarded the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law. Ms. Hunton received her J.D. degree magna cum laude, and was inducted into the Heuisler Honor Society.

Ms. Hunton resides in Baltimore County with her husband Duane, and is an active volunteer for RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.
